Jesus

Poetry

I wrote this piece to convey how Muslims see Jesus showing  that it is not that different from the Christian perspective.
—-

In your cradle you spoke to man
where they questioned your mother’s chastity
you told them that this was God’s plan
that you were their majesty

How wondrous must this sight be
where Gods rule is manifested
for surely they did clearly see
yet in arrogance they protested

In your life you brought ease to many
you cured the pain of the ill
to water you spoke of the Lords mercy
upon which it obeyed your will

The light of your beacon lit all darkness
and awakened bitter cold hearts
this world had witnessed no such kindness
so soon from it your grace departs

Now time to you endures your absence
today your persona is celebrated
together we yearn for your fragrance
for you are our saviour, the awaited
